SHARON

Registered Dental Assistant

Sharon has 35 years of dental experience as a registered dental assistant at Family Dentistry Associates of Monona! After graduating MFL High School in 1985, Sharon went to Kirkwood Community College from 1985-1986 for dental assisting and expanded function. She has also received further dental assisting education and is trained on the CEREC. When asking Sharon what she loves most about her job, Sharon answered, "I enjoy working with our patients, and especially working with children. I enjoy seeing all the changes in dentistry over the years and the challenges that come with using new materials and equipment. This keeps the job interesting and it is very rewarding to see the changes we can make with patients' smiles. I love to see how happy they are with their new smiles when we are done! I also enjoy the closeness of working with co-workers in a small office. We are all like family!" 

Sharon has been married to her husband, Jeff, for 35 years. They have a farm together near Elgin and have three children, Andrew, Cassandra, and Mitchell. She enjoys working on their family farm with their beef cows/calves. When not working, Sharon enjoys a little gardening, hiking on the farm, mushroom hunting, motorcycle riding, driving her Jeep wrangler, and driving their side by side on the farm.

DENISE

Registered Dental Assistant

Denise is a seasoned dental assistant and has been with us at Family Dentistry since 1987. With a diploma in Dental Assisting from Kirkwood Community College, she provides both knowledge and experience to our practice. When asked what she loves about her job, Denise said, "I just love what I do! I love all of my co-workers and the doctors I work for.  I can relate to our patients and have built relationships with them over the years. I am proud to show them our latest equipment and dental technology that helps provide the best possible experience for them!" 

Denise, and her husband, Steve, have been married for thirty-five years and have three children, Chelsea, Jordan, and Cade, and three grandchildren, Gabriel, June, and Eli. In her free time, Denise likes to travel, read, go on yearly shopping trips with her sisters, and loves seeing her grandchildren.

KRISTEN

Marketing & Public Relations Director

Kristen is the Marketing & Public Relations Director for Waukon Dental, Family Dentistry Associates of Monona, and Dental Associates of Prairie du Chien, P.C. Kristen joined our practices in February of 2017 after moving back to northeast Iowa. Her favorite part of the job is meeting new people in the local communities, and seeing people love their smiles, and being able to share that excitement thru pictures, design, and testimonials. 

Kristen graduated from Waldorf University in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Communication and an emphasis in Journalism and Public Relations. In her free time, Kristen loves to be on the river, explore a new gravel road, and spend time with family and friends. Her favorite title is "Auntie" and she loves any time she can hang out with her nieces and nephews!
